Display Chain ~ Easter Baskets

Misi, at 1890 Gable House Musings, is once again hosting today's display chain. The theme is Easter Baskets. Since my daughters are grown, most of the Easter Baskets I make are dollie size, like this one . . .
_

And here's how I make them. First, I select the coils of reed . . .
_

Cut the base and side pieces . . .
_

Weave the bottom . . .
_
Fold up the sides and begin weaving the rows . . .
_

To the desired height . . .
_

Fold over every other piece to hold the rows in place . . .
_

Insert the handle, add the rim, and lash it in place . . .
_
Then it looks like this . . .
_
Add some stain and some fixins . . .
_

Making baskets is a fun and easy project. Give it a try!
Thanks for hosting another great theme Misi!

You make it look so easy, lol. When I worked in a craft store, they had basket making classes, but i never got a chance to try one.

Love your little basket. Thanks for the tutorial. I think I will leave the basket making to others. I sure don't need another craft to become addicted to. LOL Have a wonderful day!!
